Our Journey Begins

Founded in 2022, Autokton ry was born from a pressing need within the Albanian-speaking community in Finland – the need for a central hub of information and support to aid in integration into Finnish society. Our inception was more than just the start of an NGO; it was the beginning of a movement.

Rapid Growth and Community Engagement In our inaugural year, we’ve seen remarkable growth and engagement:

• Our Finnish Language Facebook Group has over 2,000 followers, becoming a vital resource for those learning the language and adapting to life in Finland.
• More than 600 members have joined our Facebook page, creating a vibrant online community.
• The word about Autokton ry is spreading fast, and our reach is expanding steadily, a testament to the relevance and impact of our work.

A Year of Impactful Workshops

• During 2023, we hosted several workshops that brought our community together and provided valuable skills and knowledge. These events have been instrumental in fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.
• From language and culture to practical tips for navigating Finnish society, our workshops have addressed a wide range of topics, all tailored to the needs of our community.
